• Salary Range: $65,000 to $70,000 annually

JOB SUMMARY: Our trusted client seeks a Junior Network Engineer to join their IT Infrastructure team. As the Network Engineer, you will maintain advanced networking and security technologies. You will troubleshoot, implement, and improve standards, implementations, and procedures related to all cloud networking technologies, including but not limited to, LAN/WAN, switches, routers, load balancers, SIP Telephony, and firewalls. You will also administer and support all campus and data center cloud infrastructure components.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

• Implement, troubleshoot, and maintain complex LAN/WAN and Security related infrastructure.
• Understand and assist with network and security implementations of Virtual and Physical equipment in out virtual cloud or dedicated infrastructure.
• Configure, administer, and support Fortigate and Fortimanager standardization and automation
• Define, implement, and maintain corporate security policies
• Configure firewall policy in alignment with best practices as well as company standards
• Deploy, administer and document production tools for day-to-day operations and monitoring
• Create and administer site to site VPN tunnels, SSL and IPSec VPN tunnels
• Collaborate with information security to investigate, remediate, and document any security incidents.
• Participate in the evaluation of and installation new or existing network/security technologies for datacenter and or satellite offices.
• Troubleshoot and maintain enterprise-level Cisco ISE implementation
• 1X deployment VOIP phones company-wide.
• Provide technical assistance to resolve complex network problems involving routers and switches
• Coordinate and/or perform problem analysis and resolution for data-related networks for local and regional facilities, dispatching equipment or network vendors where appropriate, and escalating of critical issues where necessary
• Configure and support enterprise SDN and storage platforms (NSX) running in a 3rd party Cloud Data Center environment
• Provide support for implementing and maintaining firewalls (ACLs, NAT, UTM).
• Provide support to Sr. Network specialist for campus and data center design and implementations
• Perform daily performance & traffic analysis, maintaining daily logs (MPLS, Internet, IPVPN, VOIP, and SDWAN).
• Perform other related duties as assigned

MUST HAVE:

• BA/BS degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3 - 5 years of LAN experience and/or equivalent technical education
• Professional certification: Cisco, or Fortinet. (i.e. CNE, CCNP, NSE 1-6)
• Good understanding / knowledge of Fortinet technologies.
• Experience with Monitoring software (Netreo, Solarwinds)
• Experience with Cisco's switches and routers.
• Experience with routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, RIP)
• Experience with SIP Telephony.

NICE TO HAVE:

• Prior experience with Firewall implementations and maintenance.
• Prior experience with WAN Optimization (Riverbed, Bluecoat, Silverpeak).
• Prior experience with F5 or A10 load balancers.
• Prior experience with WAN circuit technologies (MPLS, Internet, Global WAN)
• Prior experience with SDWAN
• Prior experience with SDN product such as VMWARE NSX.
• Prior experience with infrastructure diagrams (Visio)
