Operations Manager - Electrical Transmission Construction

The Transmission Operations Manager is responsible for the overall management of the transmission system, including the planning, design, construction, operation, and maintenance of transmission lines and substations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of transmission powerline construction, high voltage utility projects, and have a minimum of 8 years of experience in the power industry.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, design, and construct new transmission lines and substations
• Operate and maintain the existing transmission system
• Monitor the transmission system for outages and other problems
• Coordinate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure the smooth operation of the transmission system
• Administer the budget for the transmission department
• Develop and implement policies and procedures for the transmission department
• Recruit, train, and develop employees in the transmission department

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
• 8+ years of experience in the power industry, preferably in transmission operations
• Strong understanding of transmission powerline construction, high voltage utility projects
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software
