ACCOUNTS PAYABLE TECHNICIAN

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Associates Degree in Accounting or Business-related field or relevant five (5) years' work
2. Bachelor's Degree
3. Five (5) years' experience in accounting or
4. Demonstrable knowledge of Governmental Accounting and
5. Demonstrable knowledge of inventory/warehouse
6. Proficient with CYMA or similar accounting software; must have basic understanding of Tyler Technology Infinite Vision
7. Must possess strong written and verbal communication
8. Must be able to organize and prioritize work and to meet
9. Must have or obtain First Aid/CPR certification and a Navajo Nation food handler's
10. Bilingual (Dine/English)
11. Must be able to meet minimum physical
12. Must have a valid driver's license with an insurable driving

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Enforces and complies with SASI policies and procedures including academic adopted curriculum and strategies; includes guidelines related to COVID-19 and any unforeseen
2. Integrates the school philosophy, vision, and mission statements into area of
3. Prepares monthly close-outs to ensure consistency and accurate
4. Prepares journal entries as needed to be posted to general ledger for accurate
5. Prepares 1099 tax reporting at year
6. Reconciles all purchases to ensure payments are processed in a timely
7. Coordinates with Office Technician and Parts Runner/Receiving Technician for any
8. Process payments based on invoices for goods and services.
9. Uploads positive pay information for all issued checks with school's banking institution.
10. Verifies all invoices and checks are posted to general
11. Assist with payroll disbursement for internal control
12. Maintain cash receipts to ensure proper documentation is
13. Prepares physical inventory quarterly and
14. Maintains and assists with capital assets and depreciation schedule annually for accurate
15. Assist as necessary with audit reporting during annual
16. Safeguards and secures all information with confidentiality.
