Shipping and Receiving Clerk

The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for the receipt and shipment of incoming materials, supplies, and products. The Shipping & Receiving Clerk performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative/operational/customer support assignments. Performs computations. Typically works on semi-routine assignments.

The Shipping & Receiving Clerk 2 receives goods, verifies items against the record of shipment, and inspects condition. Gathers, verifies, and packs items for shipment according to specifications and the transportation method used. Records received and shipped items according to established procedures. Decisions are typically focus on interpretation of area/department policy and methods for completing assignments. Works within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards, but has some latitude over prioritization/timing, and works under minimal direction. Follows standard policies/practices that allow for some opportunity for interpretation/deviation and/or independent discretion.

• Work with BestWay Shipping Application

• Scan pharmacy packages; create shipping label; place package in designated area.

• Must be detailed and reliable.

• Proficient in English; Spanish speaking a plus.

• Be able to work a pallet jack.

• Basic computer knowledge needed to complete closing procedure.

• Be able to receive orders from different vendors such as USPS, UPS, Courier service.

• Be able to lift 50+ lbs.
