Job Description

Job Title: Logistics Clerk

POSITION

This position is responsible for overseeing the daily loading and shipping of products produced at K2 Pure Solutions. Under minimal supervision is responsible for order processing through order invoicing, as well as loading and shipping of trucks. Under direct supervision coordinates with the customers on product inquiries and order timing.

REPORTING

Reports to the Logistics Manager

DUTIES

Includes but are not limited to:

· Maintains direct contact with K2 contracted loading personnel (PSC) and provides daily updates for truck product loading. Acts as first point of contact for any loading issues.
· Coordinates assistance and self-load certification for drivers as required.
· Collaborates with operations/loaders to ensure timely completion of all orders and limited demurrage, including outside of regular work hours.
· Creates accurate BOLs, Weighmaster Certificates, and all other DOT required shipping documents.
· Works with EH&S department to ensure regulatory compliance in loading operations, required training, etc.
· Maintains accurate logs of trucks.
· Provides excellent communication and service with customers and carriers.
· Assists carriers in resolving issues with loading/unloading and communicates to appropriate parties as necessary.
· Acts with customer focus and professionalism at all times.
· Provides data entry & minimal data analysis.
· Weekly, monthly, yearly record keeping.

· Other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

High school diploma, college education preferred.
1 – 3 years related work experience, preferably including operations and loading/logistics experience
Strong organizational skills
Excellent verbal/written communication skills
Experience with SAP & Microsoft Office desired (or capability to learn)
Ability to work independently
Detail oriented
Ability to multitask
Resourceful, responsible & proactive
Positive and flexible attitude
General understanding of business and transportation terms & concepts
Ability to learn databases and web-based tools.
