We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Shipping Manager to oversee our shipping operations. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional customer service skills, the ability to problem solve and prioritize tasks quickly, and effective communication abilities to coordinate with our production team and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of shipping operations, including coordinating incoming and outgoing deliveries ranging from single parcels to freight shipments.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of customer orders, including picking, packing, and shipping of our artisanal products.
• Provide outstanding customer service by promptly addressing inquiries, resolving shipping issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with the production team to ensure that product calendars are accurate and that shipping timelines align with production schedules.
• Utilize shipping software and systems to track shipments, monitor inventory levels, and generate shipping labels and documentation.
• Implement and enforce shipping policies and procedures to optimize efficiency and minimize errors.
• Monitor shipping costs and negotiate rates with carriers to maximize cost-effectiveness.
• Train and supervise shipping staff to ensure adherence to quality standards and productivity goals.
• Maintain a clean and organized shipping area, including proper storage of inventory and shipping supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support overall business operations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or a related field preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with customers, team members, and external partners.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
• Ability to stand and exert for multiple hours, lift and move heavy objects, and operate shipping equipment.
• Proficiency in shipping software and systems, such as Shipstation, UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager, or similar platforms.
• Positive attitude, team player, and a willingness to go above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules as needed.

Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation is $18.00 - $20.00/hour.
