The essential job responsibilities of the Facilities Locator are to locate and mark underground electric, gas and water facilities for builders, contractors, plumbers, etc., as required.
Qualification Requirements:
To perform the Facilities Locator role, you must:
-Have a current Facilities Locator Qualification Certification
-Have skills in locating underground facilities
-Successfully complete Placement/Performance exercises
-Successfully complete NIMS Training within one year of entering job
-Possess a valid driver's license from state of residence
Physical Working Conditions:
Requires sedentary work involving standing or walking for brief periods, exerting up to 10 pounds or more of force on a regular basis.
