Lathe Operator
- Competitive pay ranging from $18-$22 an hour
- Temp to perm
- Position is in Houston, Texas 77092
- Monday-Friday 6:00 am-2:30 pm
Work with a leader in oil services who provides inflatable packers to the oil and gas industry. Our client is an independent oilfield services company providing inflatable packers, swellable packers, and associated downhole products and services to the oil and gas industry seeking Lathe Operator to join their team.
As a Lathe Operator, you will perform set up and operation of Elastomer Lathe Machinery to prepare elastomeric parts and other products.
Your New Role:
As a Lathe Operator, you will be responsible for reviewing blueprints and drawings for specifications and tolerances of part/products and set up requirements. You will secure the elastomer to be used, start, and observe machine operation, and detect any malfunctions. As a Lather Operator, you will adjust control settings such as speed and thickness and verify the conformance of finished elastomer compounds using various tools.
What You Need:
- High School Diploma or GED
- A minimum of 2 years of operating Elastomer Lathe Machines
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
- Must have set up and threading experience
- Ability to read and understand G-code and run canned cycles
