Field Operations Manager

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of HVAC Field Operations to include coordinating and managing teams, ensuring thorough training, efficient scheduling, and high quality of service. Our Field Operations Manager will play a key role in internal and external communication, project management, and strategic planning.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions include but are not limited to the following:

• Provide servant leadership to the HVAC division

• Oversee, train, and coach Austin service, projects, and PM department supervisors, and San Antonio service

supervisor, including time management and expense reporting

• Oversee division hiring, recruiting, onboarding, and offboarding; reinforce proper employee documentation

• Facilitate division's development and training, including projecting, planning, and progress follow-up

• Ensure adherence to Company standards, policies, and procedures across division

• Implement and lead new Company initiatives, as required

• Coordinate with other division supervisors and administrative teams for effective and efficient operations

• Perform monthly GM review and follow up with field supervisors for improvements

• Provide feedback to Sales Manager for field needs in the quoting process

• Provide high level technical support to the division and customers

• Oversee large jobs to ensure effective projection and implementation; identify gaps and opportunities for growth

• Ensure all OSHA regulations, industry standards, and safety and security protocol are followed diligently

• Support operations and sales with customer escalations regarding quality of work

• Ensure consistent collaboration between field supervisors and dispatch

• Support HR and field supervisors with personnel concerns; ensure thorough follow through

• Communicate regularly with VP regarding division updates, field needs and equipment, ideas, and concerns

• Coordinate monthly field supervisor meetings and quarterly field supervisor individual check-ins

• Ensure division participation in all weekly "huddles", monthly safety meetings, and monthly all-team meetings

• Uphold Company vision, culture, and morale

• Other duties, as needed

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITES)

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent training and relevant experience

• 10 years minimum commercial/industrial HVAC experience

• Strong leadership, coaching, and training skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and exceptional active listening skills

• Thorough knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and best practices

• Highly organized and diligent with strong attention to detail

• Advanced problem-solving skills, both independently and within teams

• Ability to collect, track, and analyze large amounts of data

• Ability to build rapport and collaborate with others both internally and externally

• Driven and passionate about our Company vision, developing our team, and serving our customers

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Dynamics 365

• Moderate understanding of smartphones, mobile applications, VoIP phones, computers, printers, copiers, and modern office technology

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Must be on-call and available to support team for any personnel or job-related emergencies

• Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time

• Must be able to work on a computer for prolonged periods of time

• Must be able to lift and maneuver large, heavy equipment, parts, and tools, weighing in excess of 50lbs.

• Must be able to work on ladders, lifts, and from high elevations

• Must be able to work in confined spaces

• Must be able to work in extremely hot and cold climates
