What you need to be successful

To be successful as Clinical Services Manager (Housing Services) at the Young Women's Christian Association in Cleveland, several key skills and qualifications are necessary. First and foremost, you must hold a valid license to practice mental health counseling and/or social work in the State of Ohio. Additionally, a minimum of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university/college is required.

A deep understanding and knowledge of various areas, such as the foster care system, grief, trauma, sexual/physical abuse, homelessness, substance abuse, geriatric care, and mental health diagnosis and treatment, is crucial. You should be able to work well with individuals from diverse cultures and backgrounds, displaying a non-judgmental attitude regarding lifestyle choices and gender preference. Proficiency in operating basic office equipment, including telephones, computers, copy machines, and fax machines, is essential for effective communication and documentation.

By possessing these skills, you will be well-equipped to support our clients and contribute to the success of our programs.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

  • Three or more years Supervisory/Leadership experience.
  • Licensed to practice mental health counseling and/or social work in the State of Ohio. Minimum of Bachelor degree from an accredited university/college. Understanding and knowledge of foster care system
  • grief, trauma, sexual/physical abuse, homelessness, substance abuse, geriatric care
  • Works well with all cultures and backgrounds
  • non-judgmental related to lifestyle choices and gender preference.
