Vestibular Technician

Houston ENT & Allergy has a full-time position open for a Vestibular (VNG) Technician in our busy Memorial City location. This position is well suited to a candidate who has a clinical background, strong prioritization, problem solving, and communication skills.

The vestibular system is complex and responsible for many of the body’s functions. In order to narrow down the exact cause of dizziness, it is necessary to administer a variety of tests. These measure eye movements, head movements, hearing and more.

The VNG Technician’s role is to independently and accurately prepare for and complete all vestibular assessment using VNG/ABR/EcoG, VEMP, and Posturography.

Clinical duties:

· Set up for specialized testing

· Complete specialized testing

. Clean testing rooms between patients and sterilize equipment

Administrative duties:

· Verify insurance for testing and hearing aid benefits for each patient

· Answer and return calls and check voicemails as needed

· Maintain supplies in testing rooms, restock when necessary

· Maintain the cleaning supplies and liquid for sonic cleaner

· Schedule patient appointments as directed by the physician or audiologist

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Some college preferred

· 2-3 years’ experience in a clinical environment preferred.

· Ability to stay organized, think critically, prioritize and handle a high volume of patients, work well independently and within a team, and interact professionally with patients, physicians, and team members.
