Job Description:

Create site plans, architectural drawings, and structural details for outdoor living projects.
Develop standard details for future use.
Determine specific site requirements, such as impervious coverage, need for engineering, and other city specific requirements.
Produce documents that meet city permit requirements on first submittal, eliminating revision cycles.
Learn to design practical and buildable structures based on field measurements and concept renderings.
Manage document flow, communication, and revisions required to have drawings stamped by a subcontracted engineer.
Note: This job requires a spirit of independence and ownership over quality, speed, learning, and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

Completion of Associate's degree in computer drafting or the like, especially with focus on architectural and civil drafting.
Highly proficient in AutoCad with the immediate ability to quickly produce scale site plans, details, and templates.
Willingness and ability to learn other CAD software and 3D rendering software, especially VIP3D.
Remote work may be an option in time, but the initial expectation is to work from our Houston office.
BA or BS degree desired
US Citizenship or permanent resident
