In this position, you will rotate through three IA facilities located in Palmer, Eagle River, and Anchorage. As a CT Technologist at Imaging Associates, you will have the opportunity to provide state of the art care to all patients by performing technical work involving the operation and maintenance of computerized tomography equipment. This professionally trained person will be responsible for producing computerized tomography images of designated anatomical areas as ordered/directed according to established practices and procedures.  This position requires working directly with Radiologist and patients, and operating the CT equipment and associated equipment.  This CT Technologist position requires advanced technical knowledge and the ability to communicate and interact with the department radiologists in regard to CT sequences and protocols. This position, in addition to superb technical skills, will also require the ability to follow Imaging Associates’ service commitments to customers and fellow staff.

**Sign on bonus of $7,500 gross shall be paid on first payroll after hire.**

Requirements

  •   Education: Successful completion of an AMA approved training program for radiologic technology.
  • Experience: Current experience as a CT technologist is preferred. A minimal of 1 years previous experience a plus
  • Licensure/Certification: Must be ARRT registered. CT (ARRT) certification is preferred, but not required.  Must obtain CT Registry within twelve (12) months of hire date. Current Certification in BLS.
  • Other Qualifications: Requires the ability to work with a variety of people to include patients and their representatives, other staff, physicians and their staffs, vendors and regulatory personnel.  Ability to perform Diagnostic X-Ray is required. CT experience is beneficial.

Duties

 Procedures: Performs a variety of technical procedures according to national standards.  Performs CT examinations according to physician order and written policy, using sophisticated equipment.  Must be competent to operate and monitor performance of Computerized tomography scanners, flow regulated injectors, UPS systems, patient monitors, radiology information systems and other associated equipment. Utilizes knowledge and judgment in regard to imaging factors, Imaging technique and patient care needed to produce optimal images. Capable of performing diagnostic Radiology exams on occasion

  • Documentation: Responsible for accurately completing records, daily quality assurance and improvement information, meeting regulatory standards.
  • Equipment:  Calibrates, maintains and troubleshoots equipment.  Optimizes equipment and supplies to benefit operations.
  • Safety and Education: Complies with national radiation standards (ALARA).  Practices Body Substance Isolation.  Completes education necessary to maintain licensure of certification required for position.
  • Communication: Communicates with physicians and other members of the team concerning patient status, diagnosis, or related information.  Operates multiple communication telecommunication systems.  Coordinates scheduling for diagnostic exams.  Communicates with team members by regular participation in staff meetings.
  • Implements care/service that recognize age/diversity specific needs/issues of customers served.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
