Role Location: Turtle Creek, PA


Container Test Technician

The technician will perform basic and advanced mechanical assembly and electrical connection tasks and prepare products for electrical and mechanical assembly troubleshoot and perform testing for shipment.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Inspection of the container when received to insure on no issues.
  • Install BMS and string boards
  • Perform initial testing as outlined by the FAT (Factory acceptance testing)
  • Use various hand and power tools correctly and safely to assemble sub-assemblies and products.
  • Read and understand technical drawings, mechanical blueprints, and bills of materials.
  • Inspect subassemblies and/or assemblies for defects by operating specialized test equipment, measurement devices, and visual checking. Identify and correct defects appropriately.
  • Verify use of correct materials by inspection and parts lists; identify and correct process and material defects.
  • Ensure the FAT is filled out completely and correctly
  • Good communications skills, ability to relay information to necessary and pertinent information.
  • Trouble shoot issues both electronically and mechanically.
  • Ability to train and coach less senior employees

Qualifications

  • Associates degree in electronic, electrical or relevant field, and a minimum of 2 experience in electronics or electrical field highly preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • Mechanical ability, as demonstrated by the proper use of hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings, mechanical blueprints, and bills of materials.
  • Ability to safely and correctly use hand and power tools and measurement devices.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Ability to inspect sub-assemblies and assemblies.
  • Ability to judge the quality of sub-assemblies and assemblies produced compared to established standards, drawings, and instructions.
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electronic issues.
