Treasury Staff Accountant (Entry Level)

Southland Holdings is seeking a Treasury Staff Accountant to assist at our corporate office in Grapevine, TX. This position is ENTRY LEVEL, new grads are encouraged to apply!

Job Duties:

• Accurately post payments and adjustments from various sources on a daily basis 
• Monitor cash activity and balances 
• Resolve daily bank issues 
• Research and post electronic transactions 
• Electronically deposit AR receipts 
• Import and verify positive pay transactions 
• Initiate Wires and ACH payments 
• Import weekly ACH files 
• Unclaimed Property, Send due diligence letters 
• Keep current on unclaimed property requirements in all 50 states as required by law 
• Respond to emails received from operations in a timely manner. Perform necessary research as requested. May include copies of cashed checks, emails, reports, payment history, etc. 
• Provide needed documents as requested for audits, such as copies of checks, bank statements, etc. 
• Other various accounting duties and/or projects 

• Degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent work experience. 
• Working knowledge of Sage 300 and Viewpoint software preferred 
• 2-3 years in Treasury or related field. 
• Intermediate Excel skills required 
• Must have strong communication skills and be able to interface with all levels of management 
• Ability to manage a broad range of activities 
• Excellent time management and organization skills 
• Organized, self-motivated, ability to multi-task and work independently
