Inspector- Housekeeping

POSITION PURPOSE:

The Inspector will inspect and maintains quality assurance for Housekeeping Department by ensuring all guest rooms, corridors, and service areas are meeting highest level or cleanliness and up to company standards.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Inspect all housekeeping associates within an assigned section and ensure that all rooms, guest room corridors, and services areas are cleaned to company standards.
• Creates a positive work environment fostering teamwork and respect utilizing performance feedback and recognition
• Inspect all Housekeeping associates within an assigned section that they are completing their assigned duties, and assisting with any challenges that may arise.
• Inspect Guest Rooms, Service Areas, and Public Areas thoroughly to ensure all Housekeeping Associates adhering to Company standards.
• Utilizes HotSOS Mobile for standardized testing to provide constructive and positive feedback to Guest Room Attendants.
• Reports any engineering or housekeeping discrepancies utilizing HotSOS
• Maintain records, including repairs needed, furniture inventory and quality of work completed by employees.
• Assigns and modifies Guest Room Attendant’s daily task assignments to ensure Guest Room Attendants are meeting their daily productivity level,
• Assigns calls to applicable persons to complete and fulfill requests, ensuring all guest calls are responded in a timely manner.
• Actively assists guests with creating solutions to any challenges that may arise.
• Provide daily updates to the Director of Housekeeping/Floor Manager on progress and status of each area of responsibility.
• Complete all special projects in a timely manner.
• Be an active team player with a hands-on approach.
• Ensure all equipment and cleaning supplies are used correctly and in accordance with safety and security standards to guarantee employee safety
• Must be able to change light bulb that are reachable.
• Train employees in maintaining clean, organized and properly stocked work areas and equipment
• Communicate accurate information actively and in a timely manner to all colleagues
• Inspect all assigned guestrooms, both occupied and vacant.
• Ensure all items are in place in guestrooms
• Use correct cleaning chemicals for designated surfaces according to OSHA regulations.
• Performs all other job-related duties as requested.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:

EDUCATION

High School graduate or equivalent preferred

EXPERIENCE

1-2 years as Housekeeping Inspector with experience in hotel preferred.

2 or more years of hotel housekeeping experience.
