Manufacturing Bench Helper - Welder

This would be a “Hands On” learning experience for someone interested in growing in the Manufacturing of Reproduction Vintage Corvette parts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assisting with basic fabrication, manufacturing, assembly of Corvette auto parts
• Cutting, sanding, finishing, polishing
• Welding experience or desire to learn
• Producing consistent, duplicate welded parts
• Learning to follow Exhaust Bend Profiles
• Packaging parts, preparing skids for shipment
• Operating hand trucks to convey, move or hoist materials to proper departments or areas
• Performing preventative equipment maintenance
• Maintaining the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and following prescribed safety regulations

Job Specifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Previous manufacturing or Welding experience a bonus
• Forklift certification preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge Of:

• Basic manufacturing and machining processes
• Basic assembly of components
• Hand tools and usage
• Operating and reading basic Measuring tools, Calipers
• Manufacturing safety practices
• Equipment maintenance and lube schedules

Skills:

• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills
• Basic knowledge of Math.
• Reliable and punctual
• Highly motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to take instructions and complete given tasks

Ability:

• Use, carry, set up and climb ladders
• Operate Fork Lift truck and hand truck
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently
• Employees will be responsible for reaching, lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying, scanning, placing materials, as well as physical bending, twisting, kneeling and etc. in a safe and efficient manner
• Dexterity of hands to operate a manufacturing equipment
• Hearing and speaking to exchange information with co-workers
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
