Job Description

InfraHire is looking for a Structural Drafter position in Northbrook, IL.

Job Description:

Provide analysis for code and design load requirements.
Develop engineering designs for gravity and lateral elements.
Generate framing and foundation details tailored to the project.
Produce structural schedules for project-specific design components.
Review construction plans for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to engineering specifications.
Aid in plan preparation, calculations, and structural component design.
Review drafter mark-ups, address deficiencies, and support team members in resolving design issues.
Create technical documents such as reports, response letters, and calculation packages

Qualifications:

Typically, seeking candidates with over 2 years of hands-on structural engineering experience, along with proficiency in Autocad and Revit.
Essential to have a solid grasp of structural engineering principles and familiarity with industry-standard tools and software.
Demonstrated ability in utilizing material design manuals, design guides, and building codes is crucial.
Competency in executing tasks using AutoCAD or Revit software is required.
Strong mathematical acumen is necessary for accurate calculations and error detection.
Project management skills are valued for practical application.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and engineering design software is expected.
