Controls Software - PLC/HMI

Responsible for the design, development, and commissioning of industrial control systems and PLC software, including the creation of HMI screens for various industries. This role involves extensive PLC programming and system integration, ensuring high functionality in diverse operational environments. Key responsibilities include PLC/HMI code development, onsite installation, debugging, and system commissioning. You will also handle peripheral device programming, coordinate machine debugging, power-up processes, and validate machinery in collaboration with build and electrical teams.

Ensuring systems meet customer specifications and conform to build standards, this position requires proactive involvement from initial design through to system startup on client premises. Travel to customer sites for installation and startup operations is a significant aspect of the role.

Skills/Experience Required:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Controls Engineering, specifically in PLC/HMI programming.
• Strong proficiency in Rockwell Allen Bradley (Controllogix, RSLogix, or Studio 5000) or Siemens Step 7 (TIA Portal, WinCC) platforms. Familiarity with additional PLC brands such as Omron, Mitsubishi, or Client is beneficial.
• Experience in hardware design utilizing AutoCAD, Promise-E, or ePlan is highly desirable.
• Capability to develop ladder logic and write code from scratch is essential.
• Previous involvement in automotive manufacturing integration and system commissioning.
• Experience adhering to programming standards and templates set by clients.
• Knowledge of various field bus networks (DeviceNet, Ethernet I/P, Profibus, ProfiNet, etc.) is advantageous.

Education:

An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, particularly in Computer Science, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering. Relevant professional experience may substitute for educational qualifications.
