Position Overview: As an Audio-Visual (AV) Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the planning, design, and implementation of AV solutions. Working closely with clients, and installation teams, you will be responsible for translating client requirements into innovative and technically sound AV designs. Your expertise will contribute to the successful execution of AV projects, ensuring they meet high-quality standards and exceed client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with clients and project stakeholders to gather and understand AV system requirements.
• Conduct needs assessments and translate client needs into technical specifications.
• Design and engineer comprehensive AV solutions, including audio systems, video systems, control systems, and integrated technologies.
• Create detailed AV system diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Specify and select appropriate AV equipment, components, and technologies based on project requirements.
• Stay abreast of the latest AV technologies and industry trends.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies, products, and solutions to enhance AV system capabilities.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including superintendent, and installation teams, to ensure seamless integration of AV solutions.
• Interface with clients and represent the company core values.
• Conduct thorough testing and quality assurance of AV systems to ensure they meet design specifications and industry standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during the design and implementation phases.
• Present and explain AV designs to clients, addressing technical inquiries and ensuring alignment with their expectations.
• Incorporate client feedback into design revisions as needed.
• Ensure that AV designs comply with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
• Stay informed about relevant codes and standards to guarantee compliance in all designs.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in AV system design and engineering.
• Strong knowledge of AV technologies, signal flow, and integration.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Industry certifications, such as CTS (Certified Technology Specialist), are a plus.
