Laundry-Full Time 7A-3P **$1000 Sign on Bonus**

Reports to: Housekeeping Supervisor

Classification: Non-exempt

Position Summary

Laundry personnel are responsible for keeping residents clothing and linens clean and washed. This service includes washing, drying, ironing, folding and storing.

Essential Job Duties

1. This position is a Safety Sensitive Position. The essential functions, physical demands and mental competencies of this job require the employee to maintain the ability to work in a constant state of alertness in a safe manner.
2. Complete daily laundry for residents as scheduled including washing, drying, ironing, folding and storing.
3. Must track residents clothing and linens to ensure all property is returned to the resident in a timely manner.
4. Transport laundry using wheeled carts; keeping storage areas, laundry areas and carts clean and tidy.
5. Inventory laundry supply needs and report to supervisor when supplies need to be re-ordered.
6. Observe precautions required to protect residents’ and guests’ property, and report damage, theft, and found articles to Administration.
7. Communicates and interacts effectively and tactfully with the residents, visitors, families, peers and supervisors promoting a homelike environment.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or general education diploma (GED) is preferred.
2. Must meet all healthcare requirements, including Tuberculosis skin test.
3. Must be in positive standing with all healthcare agencies, including the Employment Clearance Registry and Adult Maltreatment Registry.

This position is very active and requires constant standing/walking and repetitive motions, frequent bending/stooping, reaching, lifting/handling, pushing/pulling and occasional carrying. The employee must frequently lift or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds and the frequency of treatments may vary.
