PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Laundry Associates operate a variety of highly technical machines to provide fresh clean linens to our customers. All Associates play a key role in consistently delivering outstanding service to our customers and take pride in their work. Cooperative Laundry expects all associates to treat each other with dignity and respect and to contribute to a positive team environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Sort incoming laundry
• Skillfully operate equipment to safely and thoroughly clean, press and fold linen
• Transport linen by pushing/pulling laundry carts
• Lift bundled laundry into carts
• Inventory and weigh in and out-bound laundry and enter into tracking system
• Follow safety and security policies and procedures
• Monitor equipment and report any safety hazards, accidents/injuries, needed supplies or damaged linen
• Maintain a clean, safe and organized work area
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Must be able to read and write, follow operating procedures, and complete safety training/certifications
• Must maintain good attendance
• Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast paced changing environment

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
• Continuously stand, walk, reach, bend and twist for up to 10 hours
• Good hand-eye coordination
• Able to push, pull and lift 50 lbs., unassisted
• All workstations are climate-controlled
• Must be available for rotating shift work - some nights, weekends and holidays required

SCHEDULE HOURS
• 5am start time until daily workload completion.
• Rotational weekends and holidays.
• Schedules will fluctuate based on need.
