EVS/Laundry Director

Location:City of Industry, CA 91745
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: $35.00 – $45.00/hr DOE
Reports To: Administrator / Director of Operations

Position Summary

The EVS/Laundry Director is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing all Environmental Services (EVS) and Laundry operations at a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF). This leader ensures a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for residents, staff, and visitors in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including Title 22 and CMS guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and oversee all housekeeping, environmental services, and laundry functions throughout the facility
  • Hire, train, supervise, schedule, and evaluate EVS and laundry staff
  • Develop and implement departmental policies, procedures, and quality control standards
  • Ensure compliance with infection control protocols, OSHA regulations, and SNF/CMS guidelines
  • Manage department budget, supply procurement, and inventory control
  • Conduct routine inspections of all facility areas to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met
  • Coordinate with nursing, dietary, and other departments to meet resident care needs
  • Maintain proper handling, processing, and distribution of resident and facility laundry
  • Ensure proper use, storage, and disposal of cleaning chemicals and hazardous materials (MSDS compliance)
  • Prepare and submit required reports, logs, and documentation
  • Participate in QAPI, survey readiness, and interdisciplinary team meetings
  • Respond to and resolve resident and family concerns related to environmental services
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Required: Prior experience in EVS/Housekeeping/Laundry management within a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) — this is a firm requirement
  • Minimum 2–3 years of supervisory or director-level experience in environmental services, preferably in a long-term care or post-acute setting
  • Strong knowledge of infection control, sanitation standards, and regulatory compliance in a SNF environment
  • Demonstrated ability to manage, motivate, and lead a team
  • Proficiency in scheduling, budgeting, and inventory management
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
Compensation & Benefits
  • Hourly rate: $35.00 – $45.00 DOE
