Old Harbor Native Corporation is looking to fill the Shareholder Relations Associate position in Anchorage.

The Shareholder Relations Associate will be responsible for the overall support of shareholder services and Old Harbor Scholarship Foundation. Under general supervision and according to the company's established policies and procedures, the Shareholder Relations Associate will perform all functions related shareholder relations and observe strict confidentiality of all matters.

Major Areas of Responsibility:

  • Support Old Harbor Native Corporation's Shareholder Services
    • Assure shareholder needs and concerns are properly directed and addressed
    • Manage and maintain shareholder paper and electronic documents
    • Take initiative to develop and maintain a listing of all shareholders in Granite Database:
      • Contact info (address, e-mail address, phone, etc)
      • Personal info
      • Certificate number
      • Number of shares owned
      • Insurance information
      • Notes of Communication
    • Take initiative to develop and maintain a listing of all shareholder descendants in Granite database:
      • Contact info (address, e-mail address, phone, etc)
      • Personal info
      • Related shareholder
    • Shareholder Death Benefits
      • Manage the shareholder death benefit and stock will forms process
      • Ensure all shareholders have death benefit and stock will forms properly filled out and on file at our office
      • Process necessary paperwork for death benefit and stock will in the event of a shareholder death
    • Assist Shareholder Relations Shareholder Correspondence
      • Assist w/ Elder and youth conference/AFN
      • Assist with Shareholder notices, postcards, newsletters and other means of communication
  • Old Harbor Scholarship Foundation (OHSF)
    • Coordinate OHSF Board meetings
    • Review & process the scholarship applications
    • Support OHSF website, publications, and communications
    • Identify ways to improve OHSF and their fundraising activities
    • Develop and maintain database with all scholarship students
      • Document contact info, institution and graduation degree completion or status
  • Other / General
    • Perform administrative and office support activities to include answering telephone calls, receiving and directing visitors, word processing, and faxing when needed
    • Assure confidentiality in handling of all company and shareholder business
    • Assist with office mail outs
    • Assist in other duties as requested by supervisor or management
    • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Job Requirements
  • High school diploma with experience in administrative activities
  • Ability to learn Shareholder & Descendant Granite Database
  • Excellent knowledge of proper grammar and spelling
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office programs for various projects
  • Demonstrates ability to be detail oriented
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks as necessary to ensure a timely response on all projects
    • Arrange personal schedule to coincide with the job's responsibilities
    • Update and chase delegated tasks to ensure progress to deadline
  • General knowledge of clerical procedures and practices
  • Good problem analysis, assessment and communication skills
  • Demonstrate strong judgment, problem solving, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent skills in planning, organizing, time and work management

Physical Demands/Work Environment
  • Ability to lift 20 lbs. or more
  • Ability to sit for extended periods
  • Limited travel required
