Description
The Lead Veterinary Technician plays a pivotal role in ensuring an outstanding patient experience by directing the veterinary treatment support staff. This role requires a vigilant and competent individual with excellent time management skills who can oversee and enforce company policies, and ensure the smooth operation of daily activities. The primary aim is to provide consistent, efficient care to every patient.
Responsibilities
• Oversee the services and treatments provided by the veterinary treatment support staff.
• Enforce company policies and update the team on new practices and policies in collaboration with the Technician Supervisor, Practice Manager, and Medical Director.
• Attend monthly team meetings and team training sessions as per the training calendar.
• Ensure treatment support staff are proficient in the systematic flow of exams conducted by doctors.
• Uphold and teach efficient time management skills to staff to guarantee consistent care to clients.
• Offer enthusiastic training about client education.
Qualifications
• Veterinary technician certification or experience equivalent.
• Prior experience in a veterinary setting with supervisory or lead experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in inventory management.
• Ability to conduct training sessions effectively.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong understanding of veterinary practices and client education.
