Overview: Geodesicx is looking for experienced software and hardware test and evaluation professionals to join our team in support of the USMC Ground Communications effort. The Test and Evaluation role involves contributing to a high-profile project providing systems engineering and logistics services in support of USMC communications systems. The role is critical in ensuring the readiness and robustness of tactical satellite, terrestrial ground communications, and client computing equipment, encompassing both hardware and software elements. The individual will be part of a dedicated team responsible for delivering engineering and logistics support, ensuring that the communication systems meet the rigorous standards and requirements set by the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic and the USMC. Knowledge of USMC ground radios and automated test experience highly preferred.

Experience: Candidates for the Test and Evaluation position should have substantial experience in systems engineering and testing methodologies. Desired qualifications include:

  1. Technical Expertise: Proficiency in tactical networking, satellite communications, ground radios, and terrestrial high-capacity communications.
  2. Systems Engineering: Experience with system design, development, prototyping, integration, and testing.
  3. Developmental Testing: Proven ability in conducting developmental testing of systems, equipment, and software, including the development of test plans, procedures, and reports.
  4. Problem-Solving Skills: Strong troubleshooting and maintenance skills during test phases.
  5. Documentation: Competency in creating comprehensive test reports, documenting test activities, system and equipment design compliance, and technical risk assessment.
  6. Cybersecurity Knowledge: Understanding of cybersecurity principles to ensure the integrity and security of the systems.
  7. Communication: Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and government officials.

The ideal candidate will have a blend of technical knowledge, hands-on experience, and a track record of working effectively in complex, high-stakes environments. They should be committed to delivering excellence and innovation in the field of communications engineering for the USMC.

Education: High School diploma or GED. Individual shall be working towards the relevant certifications within one and a half year after assuming duties: Professional Software Engineering Master (PSEM)/ Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP) or with COR approval complete a vendor/platform specific certification: Microsoft role-based certifications, Microsoft Certified Applicable s Developer (MCAD), Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA), Red Hat Certification Program (RHCP), CISCO Certified Network Professional (CCNP), CISCO Certified Design Professional (CCDP), Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), VMWare Certified Professional (VCP), Cloud certifications.
