Position Overview:
As a Legal Assistant in our personal injury law firm, you'll be integral part to our Litigation department, focusing on various admin duties. This position suits a highly organized, detail-focused individual capable of juggling various tasks. *This role is located at our Beverly Hills office and requires physical presence on-site.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately and timely enter all court appearances, deadlines, and events into the law firm's calendar system
- Prepare and distribute comprehensive calendar reports and updates to attorneys and staff, ensuring everyone is well-informed
- Timely and accurately sort and save all incoming mail and email to the respective teams, including titling of documents, sending file path emails, and alerting supervisors to time-sensitive issues
- Handle all case-related costs for each respective team, paying all invoices, saving all receipts, and communicating with other team members to facilitate timely payments
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software, processes, and procedures
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
- Capable of efficiently managing high work volumes in a fast-paced setting and adapting to changes
- Ability to maintain professionalism, always responding calmly and courteously
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, as well as independently with minimal supervision
- Demonstrates problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically in a variety of situations
- Excellent follow-through to meet multiple deadlines
- Flexibility to adapt to changing conditions and work assignments, with a willingness to take on additional duties as required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Prior experience in a legal setting is highly beneficial
- Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program or a Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline
