Job Title: Bi-Lingual School Psychologist - 2024-2025 School Year

Location: Naperville, IL (Travel required to different school sites)

Clarifi Staffing Solutions is looking for on-site School Psychologists to apply for this amazing opportunity. School Psychologist are on the team of school-based interventionists meant to help children succeed despite learning, emotional or behavioral issues. These highly trained professionals screen students for disabilities, offer counseling and help teachers and families create Independent Education Plans (IEPs). As a school psychologist, you may also refer students to other resources such as counselors, social workers, or psychiatric evaluations. School psychologists are needed for all ages' preschool through high school. They commonly work with school social workers, counselors, the principal, and teachers.


Job Duties:

  1. Assessment: Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations of students from Kindergarten through high school to identify academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
  2. Consultation: Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop effective interventions and support plans for students.
  3. Counseling: Provide individual and group counseling services to students addressing a range of issues including anxiety, depression, social skills, and academic concerns.
  4. Crisis Intervention: Respond to crises within the school community, providing immediate support and coordinating resources as needed.
  5. Behavioral Support: Assist in the development and implementation of behavior intervention plans (BIPs) for students with challenging behaviors.
  6. IEP Team Participation: Serve as a member of Individualized Education Program (IEP) teams, contributing to the development and review of students' educational plans.
  7. Data Analysis: Analyze assessment data and school-wide data to inform decision-making and identify trends that may impact student outcomes.
  8. Parent Education: Provide support and education to parents on topics related to child development, behavior management, and academic success.
  9. Professional Development: Stay current with best practices in school psychology through ongoing professional development activities.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct psychological assessments and interpret findings to support educational decision-making.
  2. Collaborate with school staff and parents to develop and implement effective interventions and support strategies for students.
  3. Provide crisis intervention services as needed, including assessing risk and coordinating appropriate responses.
  4. Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, interventions, and consultations.
  5. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of students' educational plans.
  6. Communicate assessment results and intervention recommendations clearly and effectively to stakeholders.
  7. Adhere to ethical and professional standards outlined by the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) and relevant state licensing boards.
  8. Travel to different school sites as assigned, with reimbursement provided for travel expenses.


Requirements

1. Master's or Specialist degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.

2. Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychologist endorsement.

3. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.

4. Previous experience working as a school psychologist preferred.

5. Strong assessment and intervention skills.

6. Ability to work effectively with students, families, and school personnel from diverse backgrounds.

7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

8. Willingness to travel to different school sites within the designated area.
