Salary: 18.90

POSITION SUMMARY
Position will move and issue materials to requesting department(s) for all production materials and supplies while they follow all required processes and procedures. Will ensure timely delivery of all required production materials and supplies to ensure that Sioux Manufacturing produces top quality product per quality standards and documented client provided requirements.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
•Position will correctly load and unload any vehicle, load and unload storage racks and correctly deliver materials to designated departments while following all standard operating procedures and ensure materials, creels and/or products in process.
•Inspect equipment, structures, materials to identify correct operation and/or cause of errors, other problems, or defects and document.
•Position will correctly run computer programs and ensure proper conformance to Sioux Manufacturing quality standards and documented client provided requirements.
•Receive incoming materials against SMC’s purchase orders and inspect shipments for “discrepancies and damage”.
•Correctly, follow standard operating procedures, work orders, work processes, such as work order, traveler, MPS, engineer directive and other documented work instructions pertaining to the current process that have been assigned and working on.
•Correctly evaluate materials and/or products and record operational and/or production data as each position requires per standard operating procedures.
•Continually keep work areas clean, free of safety hazards, assist others in the process as needed.
•Requires being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks.
•Requires being reliable, responsible, dependable, and fulfilling obligations.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
•Monitor your performance, other individuals, and/or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action. Adjust your actions in relation to others' actions as needed.
•Assist with other departmental operations and/or projects as assigned and/or requested.
•Fill out the daily forklift checklist.
•Other duties as assigned by your department supervisor.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
•Knowledge of inventory, correct procedures, and schedules for obtaining accurate information.
•Knowledge of driving forklifts with knowledge of loading and unloading materials.
•Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective operations for the safety of people, property, and Sioux Manufacturing.
•Knowledge to identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts of information by breaking down information or data into separate parts to improve your skills and/or department processes.
•Knowledge to develop constructive and working relationships with others to cooperatively work together and achieve quality products timely and support positive interactions over time.
•Be able to effectively communicate information to co-workers, department supervisors, department management, and ensure accurate transition of that information.
•Ability to manage your own time and be aware of the time of others.
•Ability to identify information by categorizing, estimating, recognizing differences or similarities, and detecting changes in products and/or processes.
•Ability to use relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether current processes comply with standards operating procedures, quality standards and/or documented client provided requirements.
•Ability to compile, categorize, calculate, tabulate, audit, and/or verify information and data.

COMPUTER SKILLS
•Desktop/Office suite and Visual Manufacturing Software.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Required: High School Diploma or GED required.
Preferred: 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Valid Driver’s license.
A blend of education and/or significant, relevant experience that gives related, current knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully navigate the position may be substituted for required education.
