Desired Skills/Experience/Profile:

• Reporting to the CEO-President your experience should include working in a similar leadership role for a company that builds and designs electronic control systems (PLC based systems: MES, SCADA, DCS, HMI, Process control or similar); Experience working in a technical-engineering leadership role where you are the point person for ideas, recommendations, suggestions for building and designing PLC Based systems.
• Team Supervisory and Related Project Management: managing Electrical Engineering R&D team who design and build PLC based Electronic Control Systems; should have experience with most of the following: Control Systems Project Leadership, Control Systems Layout and Design, vendor and external client communications, Staff Management (hiring, firing, mentoring, training, performance reviews), R&D/Design-Build Team work flow management, Managing overall Systems Research-Design-Builds, Related Metrics Reporting, Use of an ERP system, managing a team of Embedded and/or Application software engineers, coordination-communication with other departments (C-Level, sales, manufacturing [pcb/wiring, marketing, accounting, software, I.T., Service, Field, vendor and client teams), budgeting/P&L, Vendor research and selection, formal or informal presentations to C-Level/VP Level management, core part of the executive steering committee surrounding overall PLC System Design-Build-Delivery-R&D.
• Should have experience with most of these:
  • Ladder Logic and PLC Programming
  • Connectivity of PLC based system to a network (wireless, ethernet, cloud or other) including some knowledge of Related Networking (profi-bus, mod-bus, ethernet, wireless, 232/385 or similar industrial networking areas)
  • Data Acquisition within PLC based systems and using or designing systems that extract data (and store or report on data) coming off of the the system (experience with SQL Server or another SQL based Database is preferred).
  • Electrical Schematics (Blue-Prints, One Line Diagrams or similar)... familiarity with AutoCAD.
  • Related Embedded and Applications Software Knowledge or Experience
  • Functional Area of PLC Based Systems including S.O.P. usage and safety protocols and documentation (ISO experience is a plus), lists of parts that are in the system (or that will be used to build the system.
  • Software Engineering (embedded and/or applications software)
• A College Degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Physics, Math, Electro-Mechanical Engineering; a solid background in Electronics Fundamentals is preferred (as we regularly go back to EE fundamentals for problem solving and system builds).
• Experience working in a similar Team Leadership or Managerial role for a company that designs and builds PLC based systems for external clients.
• A strong attention to detail and solid oral and written communication skills alongside sound business judgement.
