AxessPointe is seeking a Psychiatric Pharmacist to join its Valley Counselling Services location in Warren, OH.


AxessPointe is a federally qualified health center with six locations in Northeast Ohio. It is well-known for its integrated clinical and dispensing pharmacy services. AxessPointe's pharmacists provide primary care services under consult agreements and have significantly contributed to advancing the scope of pharmacy practice in Ohio. Additionally, AxessPointe has accredited PGY1 and PGY2 ambulatory care pharmacy residencies in collaboration with the College of Pharmacy at NEOMED.


This position has a comprehensive benefits package, including loan repayment, a generous sign-on bonus, and a competitive salary.


The responsibilities include:

  • Developing and expanding psychiatric pharmacy services within the organization
  • Managing patients under consult agreements, and
  • Conducting in-services to medical and pharmacy providers.


Additional Tasks as Assigned by the Director of Pharmacy.



Requirements:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


Education, training and/or experience that demonstrate possession of the knowledge, skills and abilities stated above. Required experience and education:

  • Doctorate Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited College of Pharmacy.
  • Completion of a PGY2 Psychiatric Pharmacy Residency
  • Must become a Board-Certified Psychiatric Pharmacist within one year of hire.
  • Pass background check.


LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Certification to give immunizations.
  • License in Good Standing with the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy.
  • Have and maintain a current BLS/CPR certificate

COMPLIANCE:

This position requires compliance with API's written standards, including its Compliance Program and Standards of Conduct and policies and procedures. Such compliance will be an element considered as part of the regular performance evaluation.


Failure to comply with API's Written Standards, which may include the failure to report any conduct or event that potentially violates legal or compliance requirements or API's Written Standards or, for managers and supervisors, fails to detect non-compliant conduct where reasonable efforts would have resulted in detection, will be met by the enforcement of disciplinary action, up to and including possible termination, in accordance with API's Compliance Program Policy and Procedure: Addressing Instances of Non-Compliance through Appropriate Disciplinary Actions.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to use close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less). The employee will occasionally be working near moving mechanical parts, be exposed to outdoor weather conditions and exposed to a risk of electrical shock while running the copier, printer, other standard equipment and answering the telephone. The noise level in the work environment is low to moderate. Stress level can be high at times.
