Position: Advanced Clinical Pharmacist (Nights โ€“ 7 on / 7 off)
Facility: Florida Lake City Hospital | Lake City, FL
Schedule: Wednesdayโ€“Tuesday | 6:45 PM โ€“ 7:15 AM (Rotating Weekends)

Florida Lake City Hospital, a 113-bed acute care facility, is seeking anย Advanced Clinical Pharmacistย to join its team on a 7 on / 7 off night schedule. This role focuses on critical care and advanced clinical pharmacy services in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

Position Overview

The Advanced Clinical Pharmacist is responsible for ensuring safe, effective, and evidence-based medication management across the hospital. This role supports clinical program development, oversees pharmacy distribution functions, and partners closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and verify medication orders for accuracy, dosing, interactions, and appropriateness
  • Adjust therapy per policy and patient condition
  • Oversee sterile compounding (USP 797 compliance) and pharmacy distribution processes
  • Monitor and reconcile controlled substances and narcotic transactions
  • Support physician consults and provide reliable, evidence-based drug information
  • Contribute to clinical program development, medication-use evaluations, and drug monographs
  • Ensure safe, age-appropriate medication dispensing and patient-centered care

Qualifications

  • BS or Pharm.D. from an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy
  • Current Florida Pharmacist License (required)
  • Open to new grads with active FL license in hand
  • Hospital experience or residency preferred, but not required

  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and customer service skills
