Job Description

As a Crisis Technician of the stabilization and support team, you will work alongside a clinician to respond to crises within Prince George’s County Public Schools. You will assist the clinician in administrating clinical assessments and stabilizing children, adolescents, and families in crises, playing a critical role in our mission to save lives in the community.

Responsibilities:

Provide community-based crisis intervention services to children, adolescents, and families with behavioral and emotional concerns.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and iMind policies and procedures.
Collaborate with the team to provide timely crisis intervention and stabilization services in the community.
Thoroughly complete all iMind, State and County documentation in a timely manner.
Facilitate appropriate referrals to internal and external resources as clinically indicated.
Attend all staff meetings and participate in supervision to address assessments, crises, problematic cases, general case reporting, and resource information.
Represent iMind in a professional manner, educate the community about services, foster collaborative relationships, and facilitate referrals.
Serve on iMind and/or community committees as requested by the Supervisor.
Take responsibility for professional growth by attending all mandatory iMind trainings and staying up-to-date with industry expectations.
Provide transportation for MRSS clients to appointments as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and organization.

Full-Time Status and Description: 

8-hour shifts between the hours of 8am - 8pm

Qualifications:

Must be in the last year of a master's degree Program in the areas of counseling, social work, marriage and family or related.
Must possess the Maryland Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) credential.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred but not required.
Must have a clean driving record and reliable transportation.
Must be willing to complete Criminal Background Check
