Responsibilities

• Download and organize all information sent from the General Contractor
• Read through the specifications and analyze the drawings to perform accurate takeoffs
• Send off specific requests to vendors to get pricing
• Accumulate all pricing and create a project-specific bid

Job requirements

• Not required but preferred to have a degree in Construction Science
• Proven experience as a construction estimator, ideally 1-2 years, with a track record of successful project bids
• Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and methods
• Experience in software such as Bluebeam, On Screen Takeoff, or other construction estimating software
• Excellent mathematical skills and attention to detail for accurate cost estimation
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and blueprints
• Ability tomanage multiple estimates and spreadsheets at the same time
• Ability to successfully communicate with customers and vendors the requirements for each project
• Must be authorized to work in the US.
