Core Responsibilities

  • Process Refugee Cash Assistance Payments
  • Fulfill RCA Debit Card Requests
  • Prepare Weekly Report
  • Communication with TXOR Partner Agencies
  • General Support to TXOR Finance Team

What will you be doing in your role?

  • You process RCA Debit Card payments to enrolled clients across the state of Texas.
  • You research and resolve payment, invoicing, and other transactional discrepancies.
  • You prepare monthly deposit entries and reconcile payment transactions for RCA client payments.
  • You maintain close communication with the TXOR leadership team to ensure the preparation, organization, recording data, budgets, and audit requirements are in accordance with the guidelines.
  • You complete all necessary documentation to ensure compliance with federal grant requirements and agency quality assurance standards.
  • You know and understand partner financial structures, including budget, revenue, expenses and ensure your financial statements reflect accurate data.
  • You assist in financial monitoring of partners, in close coordination with the Monitoring and Compliance Specialist and the Finance Manager.
  • You continuously seek increased understanding of federal regulations and the potential impact on the State Refugee Coordinator’s Office and partner financial operations. 
  • You perform and collaborate with the TXOR Finance staff on multiple duties to support the overall agency goal and completion of our CCFW Annual Work Plan.

Are you the next Staff Accountant?

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field or two years of experience or combination of the above.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience with Sage MIP and ADP preferred.
  • High degree of attention to detail.
  • Must be willing to travel to quarterly meetings, at a minimum.
