Position Description:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Pool Construction Superintendent to oversee the construction of high-end swimming pools and outdoor living spaces. This position will be responsible for managing all aspects of the project lifecycle, from initial concept development through to project completion and client handover, including communication and interaction with project management staff members regarding the project's production schedule and budget, all while managing client relations. This role requires a strong leader with exceptional communication skills, an extreme eye for detail, and a passion for delivering outstanding results.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with clients, architects, designers, and subcontractors to develop project plans and specifications that meet client requirements and budgetary constraints.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
  • Coordinate and oversee all aspects of construction, including site preparation, excavation, pool installation, landscaping, and outdoor amenities.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance, and address any issues or concerns that arise.
  • Communicate effectively with project manager, team members and clients throughout the project lifecycle, providing regular updates and addressing any questions or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, purchase orders, and project schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, motivating and supporting project team members to achieve project goals and objectives.

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of pool construction and maintenance.
  • Strong organizational skills, flexible, and has the ability to prioritize work assignments.
  • Excellent people skills with experience in collaborating in a multi-disciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team.
  • Ability to handle multiple small to medium-sized projects at the same time.
  • Must be able to deliver under pressure and meet project deadlines.
  • Ability to interpret submittal packages and ensure quality control processes on the job site.
  • A clear understanding of how RFI's and COR's are identified, issued, processed, tracked, and recorded.
  • Familiarity with local, state and federal building codes and regulations.
  • Extreme attention to detail.
  • Leadership abilities and the ability to motivate others.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate using electronic mail and messaging effectively.
  • Ability to travel throughout all areas of construction sites during all phases of a project.
  • Strong math and analytical skills.
  • Highly proficient at reading and understanding blueprints, specifications, and statements of work related to each project.

Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in the residential construction industry in a supervisory role.
  • 5+ Years of experience in Pool and Water Feature / Fountain construction experience.
  • 5+Experience in mechanical, concrete, forming, trenching, plumbing, and electrical.
  • Must be able to read plans and take-offs.
  • OSHA 30 hour training certification along with CPR and First Aid certification (Preferred)
  • Clean driver's license.
  • Verbal Bilingual (Spanish & English) is required.

Work Location: Job sites vary and between Marin, Sonoma and Napa counties.

Work Environment: Work is performed in outdoor environments; some exposure to varying temperatures; exposure to dust, steam, controlled and hazardous substances, pesticides, herbicides, gases and chemicals; working around electrical current, and moving machinery parts; regular contact with staff and the public

Equipment Used: Company car, cell phone and Laptop/iPad. Frequent use Excavators, skid steers, and loaders, or general construction and landscaping tools.

Essential Physical Tasks: Frequently sit for extended periods; stand and walk or crouch on uneven surfaces and may occasionally be required to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance; stoop, kneel, bend to pick up or move objects, office equipment, plants, or tools; physical ability to push and pull objects weighing up to 150 pounds with assistance; normal manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination; hearing and vision to normal range; verbal communication;

Job Type: Salaried, Full-time

Pay: $105,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
