Shipping Supervisor

The Shipping Supervisor acts as the main point of contact for Dachser controlled transportation. This role is responsible for coordinating inbound and outbound traffic that is Dachser controlled, to ensure the internal and external customer needs are met with appropriate and excellent service.

• Responsible for coordination of shipping customer orders.
• Direct vendor management for local needs in the framework of National and Regional service providers for LTL, FTL and Drayage in alignment with regional guidance.
• Distributes relevant KPI and reporting data internally/externally
• Coordinates and executes proper carrier utilization.
• Manage shipping team & vendor performance.
• Manages Dachser internal operating systems processes for operational and financial accuracy.
• Collaborates with all departments within the branch and the company in alignment with regional guidance, as necessary.
• Streamline processes for efficiency.
• Identify continuous improvements.
• Create & document processes.
• Produces and issues customer invoices.
• Verifies supplier costs and makes corrections as necessary.
• Performs other duties as required and assigned.

• High school diploma or its equivalent.
• 1 year of experience working in a warehouse setting preferred.
• 3 years of International Freight and Domestic forwarding or logistics experience preferred.
• Experience in working with TMS & Warehouse Management System preferred
• Demonstrated language proficiency (oral, comprehension and written) in English.
• High level of attention to detail.
• Excellent computer literacy skills and proficiency with Windows programs, specifically Word and Excel.
• Accurate data entry skills.
• Great organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Enjoys working as a part of a team.
