Staff Accountant - Tomball

Our client seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team! The Staff Accountant is responsible for managing various accounting functions to ensure financial accuracy, compliance, and efficiency within the organization.

Requirements:

- 2 to 5 years of proven work experience as a Staff Accountant or similar role
- Proficiency in using accounting software such as QuickBooks
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines consistently

• Performs general cost accounting and other related duties in the accounting department.
• Prepares periodic (monthly) balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.
• Maintains the general ledger.
• Codes invoices, sets up new accounts, reconciles accounts, and closes the monthly books.
• Reconciles bank accounts at least monthly, verifies deposits, and addresses inquiries from banks.
• Reconciles customer accounts and manages accounts receivable collections.
• Verifies payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts.

This is a full-time permanent position - in house.
