Legal Assistant Job Description:

Wirtz Law is seeking a full-time legal/administrative assistant to join California’s best consumer
protection firm. At Wirtz Law, you will take on the world’s largest multi-national auto makers
and distributors to fight for our clients’ lemon law rights. If selected, you will be part of a
growing, vibrant, collegial, and diverse team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Answering phone calls and other administrative duties
• Communicating with clients and outside organizations
• Assisting potential clients, including analyzing repair orders and drafting case summaries
• Processing client documents and organizing case files
• Scheduling and attending vehicle surrenders back to the manufacturers

The successful candidate will work with our post-settlement department and must have
independent critical thinking, self-motivation, personal accountability, and strong
communication skills, both in-person and over the phone. Strong academic background with
exceptional analytical, writing, grammar, and proofreading skills is required.

Qualifications:
We look for candidates with:

• Strong academic credentials – Bachelor’s Degree a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs
• Knowledge of case management system – Clio Grow and Manage is a plus
• Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills
• Highly detailed oriented and logic oriented
• Technologically savvy a plus
• Desire to work on behalf of individual plaintiffs against multi-national automakers
• General knowledge about the automotive industry is not necessary
• Desire to have fun and contribute to the winning team
• Bilingual Spanish is a plus

A successful Wirtz Law legal/administrative assistant will be motivated, self-directed,
intellectually curious, and will exercise good judgment. Having common sense, writing and oral
communication skills, reliability, and the ability to work under deadlines is expected. The Wirtz

Compensation:

• Competitive pay ($20-$30/hr)
