Mental Health Practitioner
- $20 to $25 Yearly

Location: Within a 30 minute radius of our offices in New Prague, Farmington and Northfield.
Schedule: Create your own full-time schedule with the majority of your hours being between 2:30 pm - 7:30 pm.
Position Minimum Qualifications:
An individual is qualified as a mental health practitioner through relevant coursework if the individual completes at least 30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours in behavioral sciences or related fields and:
has at least 2,000 hours of experience providing services to individuals with a mental illness or a substance use disorder; or a traumatic brain injury or a developmental disability, and completes the additional training described in section 245I.05, subdivision 3, paragraph (c), before providing direct contact services to a client;
b.is fluent in the non-English language of the ethnic group to which at least 50 percent of the individual's clients belong, and completes the additional training described in section 245I.05, subdivision 3, paragraph (c), before providing direct contact services to a client;
has completed a practicum or internship that (i) required direct interaction with adult clients or child clients, and was focused on behavioral sciences or related fields;
OR
is in the process of completing a practicum or internship as part of a formal undergraduate or graduate training program in social work, psychology, or counseling.
An individual is qualified as a mental health practitioner through work experience if the individual:
has at least 4,000 hours of experience in the delivery of services to individuals with a mental illness or a substance use disorder; or a traumatic brain injury or a developmental disability, and completes the additional training described in section 245I.05, subdivision 3, paragraph (c), before providing direct contact services to clients;
OR
receives treatment supervision at least once per week until meeting the requirement in clause (1) of 4,000 hours of experience and has at least 2,000 hours of experience providing services to individuals with a mental illness or a substance use disorder; or a traumatic brain injury or a developmental disability, and completes the additional training described in section 245I.05, subdivision 3, paragraph (c), before providing direct contact services to clients.
An individual is qualified as a mental health practitioner if the individual has a master's or other graduate degree in behavioral sciences or related fields.
Responsibilities:
Willingness to work from an attachment perspective and with a team approach.
Work directly with clients in-home, in the community, in schools and in the office.
Maintain a valid driver's license and vehicle to attend sessions.
Work collaboratively with the therapist and clinical supervisor to create treatment plans for their clients.
Write progress notes for each session conducted with a client. Maintains compliance with billing and documentation policy.
Maintains own caseload, schedules those clients both in home and in office.
Remains compliant with SBCC policies and procedures.
Attend mandatory weekly supervision meetings with the Director of Rehabilitative Services.
Must receive 30 hours of continuing education every two calendar years and provide documentation to Human Resources for personnel file.
Compensation: $20-25 an hour based on experience
