As a Mental Health Counselor at Dazzle Mental Health Center, your responsibilities will involve:

• Conducting thorough assessments and evaluations to pinpoint clients’ mental health needs, which will help you formulate effective, individualized treatment plans.
• Providing evidence-based therapy services to individuals, groups, and families, utilizing a range of therapeutic modalities that best meet client needs, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and more.
• Collaborating with case managers, psychiatrists, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive, coordinated care, particularly for clients with complex needs.
• Offering crisis intervention and immediate support for clients experiencing acute distress, ensuring their safety and stabilizing their mental health.
• Engaging in community outreach initiatives that promote mental health awareness and decrease stigma surrounding mental health issues, through workshops and public speaking engagements.

You will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals and families experiencing a range of mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. At Dazzle Mental Health Center, we emphasize cultural competence and strive to ensure that every client feels understood, respected, and valued as we work together towards their mental health goals.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish and maintain rapport with clients effectively.
• Cultural sensitivity and competence to effectively engage with clients from various backgrounds.
• Strong organizational skills and the capacity for accurate documentation within a telehealth framework.

While not mandatory, candidates who possess the following will have an advantage:

• Experience with telehealth services and familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Two or more years of direct counseling experience in a community mental health or related setting.
• Advanced training in specific therapeutic modalities or specializations.
