JOB SUMMARY

The Research Assistant will play a critical role in supporting research projects within the Clinical Department at The Wound Pros (TWP). The primary responsibility of this position is to assist in the execution of research activities, data collection, and analysis, as well as ensure compliance with Institutional Review Board (IRB) regulations. This role is essential for successfully executing research projects and contributing to advancing knowledge in our field.


WHAT ARE YOUR ASSIGNMENTS

IRB Compliance:

  • Ensure that all research activities adhere to the guidelines and protocols approved by the Institutional Review Board.
  • Maintain records of IRB approvals and renewals.
  • Assist in preparing IRB applications, amendments, and reports as required.

Data Collection and Management:

  • Collaborate with the research team to collect and record data in accordance with the study protocols.
  • Organize and manage research data, ensuring its accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Develop and maintain data collection instruments (surveys, questionnaires, etc.) as needed.

Literature Review:

  • Conduct comprehensive literature reviews to support research project development.
  • Summarize and critically analyze relevant research findings.

Data Analysis:

  • Assist in data analysis using appropriate statistical and software tools.
  • Generate tables, graphs, and reports to present research findings.

Research Coordination:

  • Coordinate research activities, including scheduling participant visits, meetings, and data collection sessions.
  • Maintain open communication with team members and collaborators.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Prepare research reports, manuscripts, and presentations for conferences and publications.
  • Maintain detailed records of research activities and findings.

Ethical Conduct:

  • Ensure ethical conduct throughout the research process, including informed consent, privacy, and confidentiality.

Administrative Support:

  • Provide administrative support to the Principal Investigator and research team, including grant applications, budget tracking, and project management.
  • Creating workflow, policies and procedures, process maps, and trackers


WHAT YOU HAVE ALREADY ACHIEVED

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., psychology, biology, sociology, etc.).
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Prior experience in research, particularly in data collection and analysis and statistics.
  • Familiarity with IRB regulations and ethical standards for research.
  • Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., SPSS, R, or similar).
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a research team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
