This is a unique opportunity for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join a growing company working to mature its technology stack. Primary Responsibilities:
  • Understand the needs of stakeholders
  • Implementing various development, testing, automation tools, and IT infrastructure
  • Planning out small projects and being involved in project management decisions
  • Coordinate communication within the team and with business users
  • Design and implement procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance
  • Ensure the integrity, continuity, operations, and maintenance of applications and systems:
    • Cloud infrastructure and servers
    • Software applications running on the servers
    • Databases
  • Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes
  • Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
  • Working with software developers and fellow DevOps Engineers to ensure that development and deployment follows established processes (change control)
  • Deploy updates and remediate issues for systems within the cloud infrastructure
  • Provide Level 3 technical support
  • Build tools to reduce occurrences of issues and improve customer experience
  • Investigate and resolve technical issues
  • Perform root cause analysis for production issues
  • Monitor and measure customer experience and KPIs
  • Manage periodic reporting on the progress to management and business users
Qualifications:
  • BS or relative experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field
  • 3-5 years experience as a DevOps Engineer using tools within the AWS cloud platform
    • Cloudformation
    • Codepipeline
    • CodeBuild
    • ECS/EKS
    • CloudFront
  • Ability to use a wide variety of open-source technologies and cloud services
  • Advanced experience in Linux/Unix Administration
  • Strong knowledge of automation/configuration management
  • Ability to manage multiple efforts concurrently
  • Strong knowledge of emerging technologies and tools
  • Very strong organizational and time management skills
  • Knowledge of best practices and administration operations in an always-up, always-available service
  • Possess natural curiosity and resourcefulness.

Work Environment and Travel Requirements:
Work in a well-lit, ventilated and climate-controlled office environment with routine office equipment; some equipment has moving mechanical parts. Noise level in the work environment is typical for an office environment. Remote, work from home accommodations are possible. Minimal overnight travel (up to 10%) by land and/or air.
