Staff Accountant

LignoTech Florida - a joint-venture company between Borregaard and Rayonier Advanced Materials (RYAM) - located in Fernandina Beach, Florida, is hiring for a Staff Accountant

The person supporting the Accounting Department will be responsible for:

• Completing monthly closing procedures as well as yearly procedures audits as needed.
• Maintain organization of accounting records according to record retention policies.
• Accurate journal entry recording and reconciliation of accounts.
• Data entry of invoices, journal entries, and cash applications into SAP
• Inventory reporting and reconciliation as needed.
• Posting accurate wires, transfers and lockbox deposits on daily basis to customer accounts.
• Serve as support for processing vendor payment checks weekly. Match check copies with invoices, mail checks, file all paid invoices.
• Budget cost center reports and provide variance to actual information to managers within LignoTech Florida.

Minimum Requirements:

• Undergraduate degree
• 4+ years related work experience
• Experience with SAP or alternative ERP financial systems is a MUST
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Able to navigate effectively and efficiently within a team environment
• Able to effectively communicate with people in person and over the phone to customers both internally and externally in the U.S. and Europe

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledgeable of electronic banking techniques
• Experience dealing with freight transactions
• Experience with Florida sales tax regulations
• Understanding of Fixed asset accounting
• Cost accounting experience within a manufacturing plant
