Rochester Midland Corporation is seeking a Packager reporting to their Aurora Illinois facility. The packager feeds materials into or removes materials from machines or equipment.  Operates or tends machines to prepare products for storage or shipment.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Assists Machine Operators as requested.  This includes but is not limited to: gathering packaging materials, putting inserts into bottles, hand capping of bottles, putting trigger sprayers on bottles. 
• Reads and understands batch tickets and use them to verify packaging used for each job is correct. 
• Sets up the operation of the entire filling line which may include:  Filling Equipment, Capping equipment, Heat sealing equipment or Taping equipment.
• Checks & rinses out filters prior to starting each job.
• Fills large package sizes on the floor as necessary off of machine (BBLs, Pails, 30s, 2 1/2, etc)
• Bands drums together and record and communicate any scrap.
• Assembles packing cartons, packs filled bottles, places finished goods on pallets. 
• Completes PTOs (Package to Order) and Repack jobs as assigned. 
• Unloads drum truck and potentially other material deliveries as needed either by hand, or hand cart.
• Maintains a high-quality standard through regular quality assurance checks.
• Maintains work area in accordance with established housekeeping procedures and requirements to ensure a safe and clean work environment.
• Performs such similar comparable or related duties, as required

EDUCATION:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.

SKILLS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Able to lift up to 55 lbs. required.
• Able to use scales and volume gauges as necessary
