JOB SUMMARY
The Inventory Control Coordinator is responsible for the integrity of our inventory process. The position works closely with the Shipping Department, Quality Assurance, Production, Sales, and other plant personnel as needed and is primarily responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating daily activities within the Inventory Control department. This position strives to implement, maintain, and promote continual improvement of quality, accuracy, productivity, efficiency and the security of company assets and inventory. This individual is an integral part in maintaining our Creekstone Proud culture through a positive attitude, respectful communication, and productive actions, while always doing the right thing.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Supervise inventory crew during regularly scheduled shifts, including weekdays, Sundays, and focused inventory days
• Collaborate with various departments to identify inventory-related issues and find solutions
• Create, change, and/or implement policies and procedures to resolve inventory issues and improve processes
• Serve as main point of contact and interact regularly with slaughter, fabrication, grading, shipping, sales, IT, accounting, and other departments regarding inventory concerns
• Monitor inventory daily via Canopy, scheduled reports, event watches, excel spreadsheets, and other documents
• Monitor, approve, and file all tank logs and rework manifests
• Ensure all damaged and aged returns from Americold, customer rejection returns, and all other returns are handled correctly both physically and systematically
• Be available to provide documentation and answer inventory-related questions before, during, and after audits
• Daily inventory reviews to monitor locating issues, fresh versus frozen product, missing boxes, rework, tank, aged product, etc.
• Schedule and oversee periodic inventories, such as our weekly inventory on Sundays and yearly inventory in March
• Manage and oversee all Meat Sales (public and employee), weekly local cash sales, kitchen orders, Value Added and E-com transfer batches, and employee giveaways
• Verify processes and forms are being handled correctly for rework and tank product
• Serve as main point of contact for all pullbacks for Sales, Slaughter, Fabrication and QA regardless of reason
• Training and monitoring of employees to ensure that inventory processes and correct locating is understood and being followed on the floor
• Partner with department Managers and Supervisors to affect continuous improvement
• Ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are being followed and understood, enacting changes as needed for effectiveness and accuracy
• Create ager lists on a weekly basis to maximize sales and minimize losses and inventory adjustments
• Conduct investigations across departments related to issue with yields, production, weight / tare problems, rework and tank product, aged product, misrotations
• Weekly monitoring of Non-GMO program, involving the creation and distribution of Label Quantity sheet to fab and pulling back over makes weekly
• Any additional job duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
• Minimum 1-3 years experience in Shipping and / or Inventory Control. Bachelor’s degree in Warehouse Management, Business Administration or equivalent preferred
• Intermediate to advanced understanding of Canopy
• Above average Excel knowledge
• Mastery of Telnet / scanner use and functions
• Dashboard proficiency
• Clear and effective communicator
• Ability to work with all departments at all levels
• Organized
• Thorough understanding of inventory processes from fab through shipping

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to work overtime as well as some irregular hours as needed. Occasional operation of a pallet jack and / or forklift will be required. This position is often required to stand / walk for long periods of time and will also be required to use a computer throughout the day.
