Position Overview

Objective:

The Lead IT Auditor position is a blend of traditional practices and modern innovation, focusing on enhancing compliance, particularly with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) standards. This role involves a mix of IT audit activities and strategic involvement in shaping IT governance practices across an international setting. Collaborating across different teams, the Lead IT Auditor will utilize technology to not only ensure compliance but also to foster efficiency and innovation in audit processes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Audit Leadership: Lead both interim and final IT audits focusing on IT general and application controls, improving audit efficiency and compliance through innovative approaches.
  • Engagement & Insight: Work collaboratively with various teams to review IT processes, ensuring audit documentation is both clear and actionable. Your role will be pivotal in identifying improvements and promoting a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
  • Risk Management & Planning: Take an active role in IT risk assessments and audit planning, contributing to a variety of projects, including financial controls audits, with potential for both local and international assignments.


Desired Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Bachelors degree in Accounting Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
  • Compliance Knowledge: A thorough understanding of SOX, COSO, COBIT frameworks, and GRC models.
  • Analytical & Communication Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Project Leadership: Proven project management skills with the ability to lead initiatives to completion.
  • Tech Expertise: Experience in auditing within an IT environment is desirable, with certifications such as CISA, CPA, or CIA preferred.
  • Professional Experience: At least 3 years of IT audit experience in public accounting, auditing, or industry settings.
