Maintenance General Facility

**Job Summary:

**

Performs a wide variety of plant and office maintenance work. Work involves electrical installation or maintenance and the following: carpentry, painting, pipe fitting, and plumbing. Work with minimum supervision. Work may require the planning, purchasing, pickup, delivery of materials and the installation of or rearrangement of equipment, furniture, etc.

**Essential Job Functions:

**

• Assists in equipment repair as needed
• Provides tools and supplies to Maintenance Mechanic as needed
• Returns work area to prior condition following repair projects
• Minor mechanical repairs
• Preventative maintenance for both machines and facilities
• Maintains proper lighting for both plant and office areas
• General housekeeping
• Attention to detail with Safety as a priority

**Additional Duties:

**

• May be required to drive your own vehicle or company vehicle between buildings, to pick up maintenance tools/equipment/parts offsite at vendor locations.
• Provide support for Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives, companywide.
• Other duties, reporting, special assignments, or projects as needed and assigned.
• Must remain current with, and complete all required training as assigned.
• Must adhere to Company Corporate EHS Policy and department, occupation, and task specific safety protocols, including but not limited to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.

**Qualifications:

**

• 1-3 years of general maintenance experience
• Basic computer skills to navigate within a Windows environment
• Physical requirements include pulling, pushing, and lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing, standing, sitting, or kneeling for long periods of time. All listed duties may also be performed outside of the plant during seasonal weather conditions
• Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Must submit to and satisfactorily pass any pre-employment screening required for employment with the Company.
• Must take medical exams required by law, in conjunction with occupation specific activities, the physical work environment, and ongoing industrial hygiene sampling results.
• Depending on assignment, may be required to use stairs, remain upright and/or seated for prolonged timeframes, intermittently reposition the body per various tasks performed, and use various tools and work-related supplies.
• May be required to perform manual lifting activities, not to exceed a 40lb lift performed by one individual.

**Education:

**

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Mechanical Troubleshooting Skills
• Forklift Licensed
• Meets Physical Requirements
• High School / GED
• Experience in a Manufacturing Environment
• Basic Computer Skills

Salary info:

$17 - $22 / hr
