Role and Responsibilities:

• 🗂 Oversee the daily operations and strategic planning of the Critical Care Unit, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards and optimizing patient care.
• 📋 Develop and implement policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives that enhance service delivery and patient satisfaction.
• 🛠 Manage the department budget, staffing levels, and resource allocation to ensure efficient and effective operation.
• 💼 Foster a collaborative environment among staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• 🤝 Maintain high employee engagement and satisfaction through effective leadership, training, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

• 🎓 Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required; enrolled in a program within 12 months if not already obtained.
• 🆔 Active RN license in the State of Alaska.
• ❤️ American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
• 🧑‍⚕️ Minimum three years of nursing experience in ICU, including two years specializing in open-heart recovery.
• 🛠 Strong leadership, clinical, and organizational skills essential for success in this role.
• 💻 Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, and PowerPoint, with strong analytical skills to interpret data and propose solutions.
