Lead Design Engineer (Engine Design Systems Engineer)

As (Lead Design Engineer) you will be responsible for;

• The main scope of this service is to provide onsite engineering support to manage technical aspects of an engine program.
• Support onsite dynamometer triage, test cell setup, and dyno support to quickly and effectively troubleshoot and root cause test cell and engine issues.
• Support onsite part failure resolution, root cause analysis, and task force leadership for issues observed in dyno cells, teardowns, builds, etc.
• Provide guidance and direction to propulsion system team members including transmission, driveline, calibration, and other teams with onsite real-time feedback.
• Track validation status for engine phases and escalate any concerns with timing
• Interact with software, controls, and calibration teams to ensure deliverables are on time and escalate any issues
• Call, manage, and lead task force meetings to resolve open issues related to hardware with interactions between calibration and controls.
• Prepare high quality presentations to report out on design or hardware issues, functional indicators, and other technical program topics.
• Working closely with customer PS engineering teams and design team.
• Gathering and seeking clarification of all information required to perform requested design study and engineering change notice work.
• Will need to use all customer based systems discussed in section 2.2 of this document. (NX1919, TeamCenter, B-Standard, Rocket, WEBCN)
• Being fully responsible for the quality and schedule of all deliverables to customer for assigned projects.
• Being fully responsible for communicating if design issues are found as well as providing any additional supporting information to customer.
• Documenting customer acceptance of satisfactory completion of all requested design services.
• Providing updates and reports to customer on progress of assigned work.
• Closing the loop with customer management on all issues.
• Exploring new ways of value addition to customer.

Qualifications;

• Supplier must have demonstrated a wide range of technical expertise
• Supplier must be able to lead resolution of technical Issues as they arise
• Supplier must be able to provide value evaluations for different solution proposals
• Supplier must have a working knowledge of customer NX and TeamCenter
• Supplier must have a working knowledge of customer WebCN system.
• Supplier must have access to Bestandard for engineering standards
• Supplier to have been trained in customer NX and TeamCenter
• Must have 5+ years of experience
